Today was an indoorsy day. My nesting instinct has gone crazy so I just cleaned everything basically all day and Aeryn got on with indoor things. I love finding little scenes like this left behind once she has wandered off to play elsewhere.

My sister built her this beautiful dolls house for Christmas, she painted and wallpapered the whole thing and painted the furniture. It’s Aeryn’s current favourite thing, along with her play kitchen.

Her imaginative play is really taking off now she’s nearly two; she spends a lot of time talking to her dolls and making them do things like take baths and hold the baby. She’s convinced the dad doll in the Hawaiian shirt is me, though. I guess we both have dark fuzzy hair!

Jen enjoys reading (endlessly, everything), creative writing, playing RPGs, buying from local markets, drinking coffee, drinking tea, craft projects, baking, gentle parenting, home educating and speaking in third person. She blogs about issues and ideas surrounding education, parenting, feminism, craft and various other interesting tidbits. What a wonderful word, tidbits.
