40/365 – more crochet!

I finished the longies I was working on!

These are newborn sized wool long soakers to be used over a cloth nappy! I used Drops Big Delight yarn, which is 100% wool, in the Wild Berries colourway.

I LOVE the colour! It really reminds me of a blackberry bush. I’m really hoping they fit when baby arrives! At least with Aeryn, I can measure before I make!

I also made a basic newborn nappy cover, again in Drops Big Delight, but using the Atlantis coloured yarn. I love the subtle colour changes with this one, but it’s hard to judge whether the cover will fit over the nappies as the crotch looks a little narrow. I might find a new pattern just in case for the next attempt!

My next project is Aeryn-sized longies in Atlantis! I really want to get a few wool ones finished for Aeryn, to lanolise and test out before I make too many little ones. I need to test whether wool works for us before I make loads for little bean!
