Today we made dinosaur biscuits!
I picked a basic biscuit dough recipe from BBC good food and just went for it, but to be honest the recipe was awful. It was so greasy it was nearly impossible to roll out and cut, even after firming up time in the freezer, hence the splodgy sort-of dinosaur shapes!
Aeryn had a good time “rolling out” though, which mostly involved stabbing the dough to make indents which I then smoothed over to cut out, rinse and repeat ad infinitum. She really enjoyed having her own rolling pin, after receiving a kid sized one for her birthday!
Baking is definitely a f6amily favourite pastime now. Aeryn’s got the lingo sorted and knows all the equipment and ingredients. She still needs reminding that she’s not quite big enough to do the oven part, though!
